To learn more, call the Chicago office, or schedule a consultation online.
Ultherapy is the only non-surgical, FDA-approved procedure that uses ultrasound to lift the skin, improving tone for a more youthful appearance.
Ultherapy is FDA-approved for treating the skin in the following areas:
The FDA also has approved Ultherapy to smooth fine lines and wrinkles on the chest area known as the decolletage.
Ultherapy uses focused ultrasound energy to stimulate the production of collagen in the foundational layers of the skin. Ultherapy also uses ultrasound imaging to allow your provider to see the layers of tissue during your treatment so they can be sure the focused energy is directed to the target area.
You’ll begin by having an initial consultation in which one of the skilled providers at Lincoln Park Aesthetics will discuss your concerns with you and perform an examination of your skin to determine if you’re a good candidate for ultherapy.
When it’s time for your treatment, your provider will begin by cleaning the target area. Next, they’ll apply ultrasound gel to the area and use the treatment applicator to look inside your skin to determine the precise location to direct the ultrasound energy.
Your provider will use this same applicator tool to administer the treatment. You may feel some tingling as the energy is delivered to the deepest layers of your skin. Most people find this sensation to be tolerable.
Treatments can take anywhere between 30-90 minutes, depending on the area to be treated and your individual goals.
There is no downtime required, and you can return to normal activities right after your treatment. You may notice some mild redness, swelling, or tenderness, but these usually go away shortly after your session.
For most people, only one treatment is necessary, but additional treatments might be required depending on your individual response and treatment goals.
This depends on how your individual body responds to treatment, and how quickly your body breaks down collagen in the natural process of aging. Touch-up treatments can be an option to extend your results after your initial procedure.
